(A scatterbrained post with trivial thoughts here and there, now and then…)
Overcast days don’t have to be as dull as it sounds, I have found them quite enjoyable when I just want to stay at home and relax, especially during the weekend. Usually I’d like to start my day with brewing my once-per-week pour-over coffee. It never bores me to do it ever so slowly and watch steam accumulate and condensate on the inside of the coffee pot. To fill up my stomach I just throw some bread in the oven, and recently I have been into making smoothies out of kiwis. Today it tasted delicious like always. I’ve got a pile of sweets and brown crisp bread (Brungräddat) on the kitchen counter, from the last trip to Sweden. I didn’t even like the crisp bread, but it has some nice Swedish designs on the package, so I can eat it.
Yesterday I went to walk around in the city, and brought a potted plant back home. It is the one you see in the pictures. I am still trying to find out the exact name of it. From a distance it looked like a plant that has withered, but after a close look I became obsessed with it. The branches and the tiny leaves construct a peculiar sense of space, at least to me. Isn’t that beyond what a plant can do?
It will soon be one year since I moved to Hamburg and started working full-time. I am fully enjoying how things are at the moment. It is going to be a very busy year, lots to learn, lots to explore. Unknown and exciting. Like my plant, I am trying to grow all my branches.
